Lab objectives and outcomes

Students will be able to demonstrate the correct sequence of steps for checking blood sugar using a glucometer, from preparing supplies to obtaining a reading.
Students will be able to identify all necessary virtual objects (e.g., glucometer, test strips, lancet device, alcohol swabs) required for a blood glucose test.
Students will be able to apply proper safety and accuracy protocols, such as sanitizing the finger and correctly applying a blood sample to a test strip, during a virtual blood sugar check.

Perform an Electrocardiogram (ECG)
Perform ECG is a VR simulation that teaches users how to correctly perform an electrocardiogram (ECG). Learners practice positioning electrodes, capturing accurate readings, and interpreting results in a realistic virtual environment. This immersive experience enhances skills for accurate ECG execution and interpretation in real-world clinical settings.

Powered by SimGenie AI

SimGenie acts as a built-in lab assistant. A learner who gets stuck can ask for a hint by voice, and it adapts its guidance to what they are doing in the scene.

Case Study: Symptoms of Dehydration Following A Head Injury

This simulation examines dehydration symptoms post-head injury. Participants monitor vital signs, assess cognitive function, and identify signs like dry mouth, dizziness, and reduced urine output. The process includes tracking fluid intake, performing neurological exams, and applying rehydration strategies to stabilize the patient.
